Don’t fucking tell me this is my fault (via guccier-than-u)

Please. Please. Please. Stay away from heroin and meth. Please.

Don’t say “I just wanna try it once, I can control myself.” Don’t say it.

Just please don’t ever do those two drugs. Please.

Please

also drink water

Don’t take anything unless you know what it is, and don’t mix things, from personal experience it can end very badly

and if you try stuff like mushrooms or LSD or speed, please keep a friend who didn’t drop anything around to keep an eye on you and get you medical assistance in case of an emergency.

Don’t hold back from calling for an ambulance because you’re afraid you’ll get in trouble. EMTs don’t care what you took, they just want to save your life.

This cannot be stressed enough.

Please be smart.

Please I’ve watched too many people destroy themselves on meth, heroin, and even crack

ok but like … yes.

songs with witchy, magical, and/or empowering vibes:

if anyone knows any others, add to this!

Heartlines by Florence + the machine

Witches and Warlocks by Ghost Mice

The Alchemist by Ghost Mice

Black Magic by Magic Wands

Sim Sala Bim by Fleet Foxes

omg and EVERYTHING by S.J. Tucker! She is witchy and magical, and empowering!

I always listen to Omnia, too. They’re a pretty pagan band.

O’ Death by Jen Titus always puts me in a magical mood.

‘Im not bad I’m just drawn that way.’

yaaaaaaaaassss

Can someone mention that Toons were actually a stand-in for People of Color? Yes, the novel was originally about racism. So this rendition of Jessica is brilliant and very on key about what the story was originally about.

I am so sick of boy positivity posts. Men can be marginalized at other intersections (and may want/need to be reaffirmed at those intersections), but men as a class do not need “positivity”; society already provides them all the power and affirmation they could ever need.

There’s no need to say “boys are cute and unstoppable” because nothing materially contradicts that on a structural level. Those kinds of messages have already been internalized because they are supported on every level. “Boy positivity” was not borne out of the need to be reaffirmed as a societally disadvantaged population; it was borne out of a selfish, knee-jerk, ‘why don’t we have that?!’ reaction to the positivity among and for women.

so much this. I support positivity and resources for men of colour, disabled men, homeless men, male survivors, etc. but I rarely see any. Too often these posts have a “don’t let the big bad feminists get to you, have a cookie” subtext (srsly most of the people who make these posts are anti-feminists, read the urls)
